Mixing Hip Hop: Skyzoo's Rap Vocals

March 21, 2016

In this video I explain mixing hip hop vocals. More specifically I am using Skyzoo's track "Civilized Leisure". The song is part of the album "Music For My Friends" in which I was the lead mix engineer. We will focus on EQ, and compression and how to make a mix properly cut through a mix. It is important when mixing hip hop rap vocals, to put emphasis on the vocal since it is the main part of the song. Comment, like and share!
